डीएसएसएसबी: नौ हजार शिक्षकों की भर्ती जल्द होगी, विज्ञान स्ट्रीम लागू करने की तैयारी शुरू

नई दिल्ली। राजधानी के सरकारी स्कूलों में नौ हजार से अधिक शिक्षक पद के लिए भर्ती प्रक्रिया जल्द शुरू हो सकती है। यह भर्ती स्थाई शिक्षकों के पद के लिए होगी। शिक्षा निदेशालय इस पर मसौदा तैयार करने में जुटा है। दिल्ली अधीनस्थ सेवा चयन बोर्ड (डीएसएसएसबी) की ओर से आयोजित परीक्षा के तहत भर्ती की जाएगी।

भर्ती प्रक्रिया इस शैक्षणिक सत्र से शुरू होने के आसार हैं। जानकारी के मुताबिक, मौजूदा समय में सरकारी स्कूलों में 70 हजार से अधिक पद हैं। करीब 66 हजार शिक्षक कार्यरत हैं। 12 हजार के लगभग शिक्षक अस्थाई हैं। शिक्षा विभाग ने ऑडिट रिपोर्ट आने के बाद भर्ती का फैसला लिया है। उधर, तत्कालीन आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार ने सरकारी स्कूलों को शिक्षा मॉडल के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया था, लेकिन शिक्षकों की कमी के बीच छात्रों के भविष्य को संवारा जा रहा था। पूर्व की सरकार में अधिकतर अस्थाई शिक्षकों की भर्ती की गई। यही नहीं, जिन शिक्षकों ने किसी वजह से पद छोड़ा, वहां पर अस्थाई शिक्षकों को लाया गया था। निदेशालय के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने बताया कि स्नातकोत्तर शिक्षक (पीजीटी) और प्रशिक्षित स्नातक शिक्षक (टीजीटी) के तौर पर शिक्षकों की भर्ती होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि नोटिफिकेशन अप्रैल या मई में जारी होने की संभावना है।

वहीं, राजकीय विद्यालय शिक्षक संघ के महासचिव अजय वीर यादव ने आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि पूर्व की सरकार ने सरकारी स्कूलों में शिक्षा व्यवस्था में क्रांतिकारी परिवर्तन के बड़े-बड़े दावे किए हैं, जबकि जमीनी स्तर पर कुछ नहीं था। शिक्षकों की भर्ती होने से स्कूलों में पढ़ाई का स्तर सुधरेगा।

विज्ञान स्ट्रीम लागू करने की तैयारी शुरू

सरकारी स्कूलों में शैक्षणिक सत्र 2025-2026 में विज्ञान स्ट्रीम को बढ़ावा दिया जाएगा। शिक्षा निदेशालय विज्ञान स्ट्रीम को बढ़ावा देने की योजना पर कार्य कर रहा है। इसके तहत 600 से अधिक स्कूलों में विज्ञान स्ट्रीम लागू करने की संभावना है। मौजूदा समय में 430 से करीब स्कूलों में विज्ञान स्ट्रीम में छात्र पढ़ाई कर रहे हैं। ऐसे में विज्ञान स्ट्रीम लागू होने के साथ ही लैब का निर्माण भी कराया जाएगा। छात्रों में विषय को लेकर रुचि बढ़ाई जाएगी।

New Delhi: The recruitment process for over 9,000 permanent teacher positions in Delhi government schools is likely to begin soon. The Directorate of Education (DoE) is currently preparing a draft for the hiring, which will be conducted through an examination organized by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB).

The recruitment drive is expected to commence in this academic session. At present, Delhi government schools have over 70,000 sanctioned posts, with approximately 66,000 teachers already employed and around 12,000 working temporarily. The decision to hire permanent teachers comes after an audit report highlighted staffing gaps.

The previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government had positioned Delhi’s government schools as a model education system, but the shortage of permanent teachers raised concerns about the quality of education. Most appointments during the previous administration were temporary, and vacancies left by departing teachers were also filled with contractual staff.

A senior DoE official stated that the recruitment will be for Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs). The official added that the notification is likely to be issued in April or May.

Teachers’ Union Criticizes Previous Govt

Meanwhile, Ajay Veer Yadav, General Secretary of the Government School Teachers’ Association, accused the previous government of making "tall claims" about revolutionizing education in government schools while failing to deliver on the ground. He asserted that permanent recruitment would improve the quality of education in schools.

Push for Science Stream in Govt Schools

Starting from the 2025-2026 academic session, the Delhi government plans to expand the Science stream in its schools. The DoE is working on a plan to introduce Science streams in 600+ additional schools, up from the current 430 schools offering the stream. The initiative will also include building new laboratories and enhancing student interest in science subjects.

This move aims to strengthen STEM education and provide better opportunities for students aspiring to pursue careers in science and technology.
